Unison Foundation strives to provide music education through performances, seminars, and workshops.  These sometimes include dance, and hands-on experience with different instruments.  Discussions range from fundamentals of music, to the families of instruments, and styles of music along with their cultural heritage.

Jeff Hofmann has participated with programs sponsored by the Roanoke Symphony Orchestra, and The New River Valley Friends of The Roanoke Symphony Orchestra, in workshops, concerts, and residencies in elementary schools.  Unison Foundation has also done workshops in the Roanoke City Libraries.

In-School workshops may be used to enhance your school's current teachings.  These programs provide your students with the opportunity to observe and interact with musicians within your school setting.

Workshops are always fun and informative.

Goals:

To introduce fundamentals of music to create a better understanding and appreciation for music.

To create a fun learning environment.

Generate interest in learning and participation in school or private music programs.

Uncover potential within students who may not have had an interest or focus on  class work.

Eventually to provide instruments for children who have a desire and/or gift for music, but are unable to afford personal instruments.
